The
easiest way for a criminal to get into your house is just too kick-in
your door! The FBI says every 12 seconds a home is invaded by going
right through the front or back door. Open your front door and look
at the dead bolt plate. There is one inch of soft wood protecting the
safety of your home.

How would you go
about making an existing doorway more secure? Even with a well constructed
home, with a good door, how can you be sure your door is secure? A good,
secure entryway is one of your first lines of defense, especially against
a dynamic home invasion. So how DO you go about securing your
entryways?
A
deadbolt does not secure your door! The most common way used
to force entry through a door with a wooden jamb is to simply kick it
or shoulder slam it open. The weakest point is almost always the lock
strike plate that holds the latch or lock bolt in place. The average
door strike plate is secured only by the soft-wood door jamb molding.
These lightweight moldings are often tacked on to the door frame and
can be torn away with a firm kick or shoulder slam. Chiseling and removing
wood to fit the locks will also result in a much weakened door frame.
Unless extra reinforcement is taken to strengthen the door frame, a
forced entry or kick-in burglary, will split open the wooden door frame
around the lock. FBI statistics show 70% of all break-ins are from door-frame
failure. 2:00 in the afternoon is the biggest break-in time. Because
of these construction flaws, it makes sense to upgrade to a heavy-duty,
high security strike plate. The photo to the left shows the deadbolt
was useless when kicked.

REPORTS® says Protect Your Home
"If the primary locks on your doors are entry locksets, and they're
working fine, there's probably little to gain by replacing them. Not
even top-rated entry locksets afforded great protection against forced
entry. If you want to make your doors more secure, start by beefing
up the hardware in the door jambs." Read

DISCOVERY
CHANNEL® "It
Takes a Thief" tested StrikeMaster II.
As seen on TV - now in multiple episodes!!! The Discovery Channel episode
of "It Takes a Thief" said, "StrikeMaster delivered the
highest quality home security makeovers on time and under budget. ...and
I must say that our thief certainly is not going through any door secured
by the StrikeMaster II”. Jesse Sheppard- Discovery Channel production
manager.
“I
have an alarm system. Won’t that protect me?" Though
we highly recommend an alarm system it won’t keep criminals out
of your home. An alarm is a good deterrent but it will just tell you
that burglars are already in your home. With crime on the rise across
the country police are working over time just to keep up. In many states
across the country the police are not even responding to home alarms
anymore because of so many false alarms. Here are 2 stories about the
police not responding (#1
& #2). We found these
in 5 minutes with a Google search. Criminals know this very well. Alarms
only tell you when the crime has happened. It doesn't keep them out!
StrikeMaster II is always on duty. It provides enhanced physical strength
and security CONSTANTLY each time the door is closed and locked. This
one step alone will greatly deter or prevent most through-the-door forced
entries so you and your family will sleep safer in the future. Worst
of all, if your home is burglarized it stands a 50% greater chance of
being burglarized again.
